Welcome to the Brighton Township Volunteer Fire Department, located in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. Organized in 1940, the first members followed one simple phrase "An Organization of Public Spirited Residents for the Protection of Life and Property.
Brighton Township is located approximately 30 miles north west of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We protect approximately 9000 residences within 20 square miles. We are an all volunteer department and are always looking for more dedicated members. We also provide rescue services for Beaver Borough, Bridgewater Borough and Vanport Township. The members of the Brighton Township VFD recently lost life member and brother Dale E. Karger. Dale was member of over forty years serving not only as a firefighter but as a line officer. Dale will be greatly miss by his fellow brothers and sisters at the station.
On August 13 the Brighton Township Fire Department was dispatched to Brighton Road for a reported motor vehicle crash involving a semi rollover. Command 6311 arrived on scene and quickly took charge. There were no injuries and no one trapped by the semi. The fire police quickly took charge and controlled traffic during the incident. Engine's 631, 632 and 633 along with Rescue 639 controlled on scene hazards.
On August 9 the Brighton Township Fire Department was dispatched to Winterburn Road in Chippewa Township to assist Chippewa Fire Department with a working structural fire. Initial units on scene reported fire through the roof. Engine's 631 and 632 along with Rescue 639 and Tanker 637 were sent to the scene.

On June 13 the Brighton Township Fire Department was dispatched to assist Vanport Township with a possible structure fire on Route 68. Vanport Township arrived on scene with smoke showing. Crews from Vanport investigated and extinguished the fire. Brighton Township remain on scene and assisted Vanport with overhaul.

On June 11 the Brighton Township Fire Department was dispatched to Gypsy Glen Road for areported structure fire. Assistant Chief 63-11 arrived on scene with heavy smoke and fire showing. Engine 633 arrived on scene and the engine crew started the attack. Engine 632 arrived on scene and quickly started assisting the crew from engine 633. Vanport Township was requested for assistance and laid the supply line to engine 633.
On June 2 the Brighton Township Fire Department was dispatched to Fletcher Lane for an unkown type fire. Assistant Chief 63-11 arrived on scene to a fully involved structure fire. Engines 633 and 632 arrived first on scene. The engines crew quickly started a defensive attack. Assistance was requested from Vanport Township and Ohioville Fire Department.

The members of the Brighton Township Volunteer Fire Department would like to extend a congratulations to David Hutchinson and Christopher Hodgen for earning their Pennsylvania State certification as Emergency Medical Technicians. These members put in many hours of training and dedication to receive this certification.
